National Scouting Report is different from all other college scouting organizations.

See for yourself.

First, we use real on-the-ground scouts, whose role is to personally scout each prospect they selectively enroll. Most other services are telemarketing firms that connect with prospects from rosters they have secured.  They barely scratch the surface about a prospect’s athletic ability, grades and character. How can a telemarketing organization determine all this from a couple of phone calls?

Second, we do not accept every athlete — not by a long shot.  We are extremely picky with whom we work. An athlete must be capable of playing at some level of college athletics. He or she must have good to excellent grades and standardized test scores. Our hand-chosen athletes must sincerely want to be a college athlete. And each athlete we enroll must be of high character. Other companies will enroll virtually any athlete, regardless of his or her qualifications.  They are “open enrollment” in nature.  NSR is not.

Third, our scouts personally interview every prospect once we determine the prospect has the athletic ability to be a college athlete.  During those one-on-one interviews, usually conducted in the prospects’ homes with their parents participating, our scouts dig into the key things about the athlete which we know from experience clearly identify them legitimate prospects. In most cases, other so-called scouting groups never formally interview the prospect and parents.  Their litmus test typically boils down to: Do you want to play in college? Can you pay me to work with your child?

Fourth, we emphasize grades and character.  When we interview prospects, we review their high school transcripts and test scores.  Parents consistently comment on the depth our scouts go into their children’s academic records and the degree to which we encourage them to improve on their core GPA.  When they see that concern and direction, they know NSR is, indeed, unique.  Most other companies record the basic academic info and move on. We see academics as an integral part of a prospect’s potential to attract a lot of college coaches.

Fifth, we promote NSR prospects to college coaches in a variety of ways which gives them maximum coverage and exposure.  From a personal Web site to planned, periodic marketing efforts, every NSR prospect is connected to college coaches.  This approach, in turn, offers coaches a myriad of ways to evaluate NSR prospects from their offices, homes or on their mobile devices.  No other scouting company in America — or across the globe — is as thorough in promoting its athletes as National Scouting Report.

Sixth, our scouts are available 24/7 to advise NSR prospects.  Throughout the recruiting process, families encounter confusing scenarios which require professional experience and counsel.  We train every NSR scout to know NCAA rules and have our own NCAA compliance person who provides them with fast responses to hard questions.  When families enrolled with other companies run into issues, they often struggle to get answers because those companies do not have adequate support structures in place to help their clients.

Finally, our 36-year history speaks for itself.  We have scouts across America and the world. Check the longevity of other companies and you will find that most are relatively new with limited resources, reach and experience.

What we do is real, essential and powerful.  So, when you are approached by an NSR scout, know that you are one of the fortunate few.
