National Scouting Report, the nation’s oldest and largest college recruiting organization, is the new recruiting arm of Diamond Nation, the premier baseball and softball tournament complex in the Northeast.

NSR will help qualified college prospects who play baseball and softball at Diamond Nation connect with college coaches and earn scholarships. With its unparalleled 18-phase exposure program, experienced on-the-ground scouts and national coaching connections, NSR has helped 95 percent of its prospects receive scholarship offers.

DN2NSR baseball and softball scouts from New Jersey and Pennsylvania will scout weekly baseball and softball tournaments at Diamond Nation, located in Flemington, N.J. The largest indoor/outdoor baseball and softball complex in America, Diamond Nation will host more than 75 tournaments in 2016. The 65-acre campus, consisting of 250,000 square feet of indoor facilities and 700,000 square feet of turf fields, can stage up to 10 games simultaneously.

NSR banners will be prominently displayed at two of the closest outdoor fields as well as inside the entrance of the indoor facility. In addition, an NSR digital ad will appear on the Diamond Nation scoreboard. An NSR booth will be set up in the walkway leading to the fields.

“NSR is thrilled to join the Diamond Nation family,” said Gary Silvers, Area Director of Scouting for Southeastern PA and Southern New Jersey. “Diamond Nation is the premier baseball/softball facility in the Northeast, and NSR is the nation’s premier college recruiting organization. What a great team!”

“We’re really excited to partner with Diamond Nation,” added Alan Zenobi, Area Director of Scouting for Central New Jersey. “Our goal is to identify qualified baseball and softball prospects, guide them through the college recruiting process and save their families tens of thousands in college costs.”

DN1Established in 2009, Diamond Nation is home of the nationally renowned Jack Cust Baseball Academy and Jennie Finch Softball Academy. NSR scouts will focus most of their attention on the home teams — the Diamond Jacks and Finch’s Aces. The Diamond Jacks are composed of 10U-18U baseball teams and Finch’s Aces consist of 12U-18U softball teams.

“We have always taken a great deal of pride in offering our players the best baseball and softball development, competition, and exposure,” Diamond Nation General Manager Nick Massari said. “We are extremely excited to partner with NSR in order to fully educate our clients on the college recruiting process and further increase the promotion of our players.”

NSR baseball scouts include Pennsylvania’s Mike Gossner and New Jersey’s Anthony Montefusco and Cary Nadel. Gossner, an associate scout for the Baltimore Orioles, has more than 20 years of coaching experience in Little League, American Legion, high school and college baseball. Montefusco is a former All-State pitcher at Shawnee High School in Medford, N.J., an All-Conference pitcher at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, and a former pitcher in the Atlantic League and Frontier League. Nadel, a former high school baseball player, is Area Director of Scouting for Northern New Jersey.

NSR softball scouts include New Jersey’s Cheryl Marion Zenobi (Alan’s wife), Cyndi Fregoni and Nadel. Zenobi, a former high school and college softball player, coached high school softball for more than a decade and college softball at Rutgers University. Fregoni is a former high school and college softball player who co-owns a private softball training facility in Ocean County, N.J. Nadel is a high school and travel softball coach in Northern New Jersey.
