Tarryn Angermeier

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Lander University’s Tarryn Angermeier, a freshman volleyball player from Spartanburg, and former NSR prospect, was named the Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Year it was announced at the PBC awards banquet Friday night at Flager College.   Angermeier, a true freshman, is ranked third in the Peach Belt in both total kills and kills per set. She played in every set for the Bearcats this season, collecting double-digit kills 19 times with two games of 20 or more.  The Oct. 22 PBC Player of the Week, Angermeier leads the Peach Belt in total blocks and blocks per set, collecting a season-high 11 blocks on Oct. 6 at Augusta State. She becomes the second Bearcat to ever be named the PBC Freshman of the Year.  Tarryn’s NSR scout was Mike Ostler who scouts Metro Charlotte and the South Carolina Upstate.
