Haley Savoie

We are very pleased to introduce our Female Athlete of the Day, Haley Savoie.  She attends Del Norte High School in San Diego, California, and has earned a 3.8 GPA.  She plans to become a dentist.  Dave Batzer is her NSR scout and in his scouting report he says of her, “If speed, aggression and a nose for the ball make a good field hockey player than Haley has a strong future ahead of her.  The first thing I noticed was her athleticism, speed and aggression to the ball.  She is not afraid to mix it up and gives 100% on every play.  Considering she has only been playing field hockey for two years she has made remarkable strides and should only continue to get better as she continues to get more experience and works with coaches able to help her become the best she can be.  Any high academic program that is looking for a player that will work hard in the classroom and on the field would be advised to consider Haley for their program.  She has a tremendous upside.”  To college coaches in her essay, Haley says, “I work hard every day both in the classroom and on the field in an effort to compete at the next level. I love the action and competitive nature of Field Hockey. I love how there are so many unique and fun things you can do with the ball on and off the field, from arieling it across the field to dribbling it between your legs, field hockey is always surprising and entertaining to play.  I have worked hard over the last two years and continue to work on my skills, my stamina and improving my vision on the field so that I can get a chance to compete in college. I am a team player and enjoy playing strong defense or getting an assist as much as scoring goals.  As I continue to improve my skills I become more confident in my ability to help my team compete and win. I look forward to bringing that hard work and positive attitude to your college program.”
