As a high school student-athlete hoping to play at the college level, here’s what you’re facing:

7,500,000: High school student-athletes in the U.S.

1,875,000: High school senior athletes.

460,000: NCAA student-athletes.

112,500: NCAA freshman roster spots.

6.0: Percent of high school athletes who will play in college.

2.2: Percent of high school girls who will play NCAA Division I sports and Division III sports.

2.1: Percent of high school boys who will play Division III sports.
