I love a good story.  Sure, it may have been more appealing for VCU or Butler to have won the men’s national NCAA basketball titles this past week, but the fact that they made such Hoosier-like runs to the Final Four showed basketball fans everywhere that betting on college basketball is a dangerous occupation, indeed, and that Cindrella might soon find that glass slipper in the next few years.  As the Rams and Bulldogs continued to surprise us at every turn, along came Texas A&M and Notre Dame on the women’s side of the ledger to put as much, if not more, excitement into their version of March Madness.  In both tournaments, the UConn Huskies and A&M Aggies fought against long odds, overcame sentimental favorites and reached the mountaintop of college basketball with grit, guts and great defense.  With all the 1’s gone, they were left to snap up the spoils, and the hardware.  And, man, oh, man, was it fun to watch or what?
