Get Scouted Scouting CareersWe have all heard the stories about spring sports and the basketball tournaments, but we haven’t heard very much about how this pandemic is affecting college football.
I guess the main concern we need to address is the fact that there is no off campus or face to face recruiting happening. Make no mistake, recruiting is still going on, it is just via phone, text, or direct messaging.
I’ve had more college coaches contact me this week about contact information than I did before signing day in February. Databases are still being built. Camp invites will still go out. Evaluations are still being done. There are no official or unofficial visits, Junior days, spring practices or games, where college coaches can meet you and you can meet them and see the campus.
That is why it is so important for juniors and sophomores to make sure they are identified and recognized. Those athletes that are persistent in their efforts will put themselves in a better position than those who do not. Sure, schools are closed and off season workouts are cancelled, but the fact remains that the recruiting process is still going on.
Take advantage of this time to be proactive. Coaches are looking, and they may be looking for you. If you feel that you have what it takes to play in college complete this short evaluation form.
