BIRMINGHAM, Ala – Thursday, June 14, 2017 –

National Scouting Report and Gulf Coast Prep Sports Academy announce a strategic partnership to provide recruiting help to post high school athletes and improve their academic and athletic abilities.

“The prep school is a much-needed addition to the sports community in the Southeast United States,” said Robert Cagle, vice president of marketing and public relations at NSR. “We will work with every athlete enrolled at GCSPA and get these athletes involved in the college recruiting process. Dan Todd has been a long time advocate of athletics in the south, and we will work hand in hand with him and his staff.”

Since NSR scouts are the experts in college recruiting, they will work with Todd and his team to match athletes with colleges or universities. The collaborative efforts between NSR and GCPSA will provide recruiting help to student-athletes so they can move on to a 4-year college or university.

“I believe that our agreement with NSR is going to help us two fold; It’s going to open up a new market of student-athletes for them. Previously, they haven’t been able to work with this group of athletes, due to eligibility rules,” said Dan Todd, president of GCPSA. “Once our students enroll, NSR will provide their services and assist in placing them in a 4-year institution.”

In addition to providing recruiting help, GCPSA’s foundation is to provide academic excellence and athletic development to its students. So, students at the prep academy will enroll as three-quarter students as not to waste a year of eligibility. However, they will be taking the prerequisites they need to transfer to a 4-year institution, once they receive a scholarship.

The prep academy will focus on football for the 2017-2018 year. Eventually, they will be expanding into other sports. Student-athletes at GCPSA are to report to campus on July 15, 2017, and begin training for the fall season.
