Please welcome our Female Athlete of the Day, Kelsey Cartwright, a standout soccer player with a 3.8 GPA from Corona Del Sol High School in Tempe, Arizona. Following her junior year season, this 2013 grad earned 2nd Team All-State Tribune, All-City and made the 1st Team All-Region 5A squad. Her NSR scouting report reads, “She has tremendous club tournament experience playing throughout the country. Kelsey has also played two years for Team AZ for the Olympic Development Program which is picked from the best players in AZ. Kelsey handles the majority of the corner, penalty, and free kicks for her teams. She was 4-4 on PKS her freshman year, 5-5 her sophomore year, and was 1-1 on both penatlty kicks and set plays this past year. Kelsey is not only a great athlete, but also a dedicated student. She holds a 3.8 GPA while taking many challenging AP level classes. She is also a dedicated community member participating on the Tempe Mayor’s Youth Council and the National Charity League.” This talented young lady says in her NSR essay to college coaches, “As my future college soccer coach you would see that I am a very hard worker and I don’t give up on things. I think I could make a huge impact on you and your program in any way possible.”
