Kelsey Ackerman

Kelsey Ann Ackerman is a 5’10” outside hitter from Central Lyon Community School in Rock Rapids, Iowa.  The lefty hitter carries a 4.0 GPA and is #1 in her senior class.  Of her skills, her high school coach says, “Kelsey Ackerman is a very determined young athlete.  She is always willing to work hard and give you all that she has.  One of her strengths is her ability to attack the volleyball.  She has long arms, so she is able to get on top of the ball.  She also snaps her wrist well, so she rarely hits the ball long out of bounds.”  In her essay to college coaches, Kelsey says, “Although this sport involves hard work, sweat and tears, it’s all worth it to know that at the end of the day you have pushed the limits to the best of your abilities.  I know I want to play volleyball at the next level because I want to continue what I’ve learned in high school and push myself as a player on the court and a player in the classroom.  I love this game and would like the opportunity to play at the next level.”  Her NSR scout is Buzzy Castonguay.
