Shooting Guard Garners Post-season Honors for Third Straight Year

Former NSR basketball prospect, Lenoir-Rhyne’s Cameron Sealey has been named to the 2010-11 All-South Atlantic Conference Women’s Basketball First Team.  Cameron was second in the conference in scoring (17.9 ppg) this season and led the Bears in free throw percentage (.801), steals (50) and three-pointers made (49) in 2010-11.  A junior guard from Mount Holly, N.C., who attended East Gaston High in Gastonia, this season Cameron also became the 17th player in school history to score 1,000 points in her career.  She has earned all-league honors for the past two seasons and has 1,043 points after three years of play.  Recruited by Division I and II colleges, Cameron elected to attend LR, a small private liberal arts college located in Hickory, NC.

A standout high school basketball player, Cameron was also an outstanding softball player as well as cross country runner.  Her identical twin sister, Tameron, also a former NSR prospect, is a starting outfielder on the nationally-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne softball team.  Both are honor students.
