Davis is a very well-rounded student-athlete who also excels on the soccer pitch.
Alabama’s Walker Davis has the size, strength and intelligence to play at the college level.

Wetumpka, Ala., is not the first place you might look for a college soccer prospect. But National Scouting Report found a good one there.

Walker Davis is an uncommitted senior midfielder from Alabama Christian Academy in Montgomery. At 6 feet and 175 pounds, he has the size and strength to shake things up in the middle and on both ends.

Davis also plays for Vestavia Hills Soccer Club U18, the premier club team in Alabama. Playing competitively since the age of 4, he has a full range of skills and has developed into an excellent offensive player. Over the past three years, he has led his club and high school teams in scoring and/or assists.

Davis was discovered by NSR scout Taylor Jones, an accomplished soccer player and coach himself, and an ACA alumnus. Jones was quite impressed with Davis’ skills.

“Walker comes from a very strong soccer background and it definitely shows in his knowledge of the game,” Jones wrote in his NSR scouting report. “He is a midfielder/defender with good size and speed. He has excellent field vision and reads the game very well. He is strong in the air and is very composed playing on the ball. He is an excellent passer with a strong leg that is evidenced by him being designated as the corner kick and free kick player on his high school team.”

Davis is much more than a talented soccer player. He’s also a 3.88 student, a member of the National Honor Society and an Eagle Scout.  He stays busy in the off season and during summers when he is not practicing or playing soccer by working at part time jobs.  Walker has been a summer camp counselor as well as worked on a tree removal crew.

“My priorities are to maintain a high GPA and train hard,” Davis wrote in his personal message to college coaches. “I am committed to doing my best on and off the soccer field. Weight training and nutrition are an important part of my athletic development. I am dedicated and passionate about playing soccer and I work extremely hard to improve my skill. It is my dream become a registered nurse and to play soccer at the college level.”
