Kevin Coakley

NSR golf prospect Kevin Coakley has verbally committed to golf at Jackson State University, an NCAA Division I school in Mississippi that competes in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Coakley is a senior at Brookfield Central High School in Brookfield, WI, and has a 1.2 handicap.  He has earned a 3.5 GPA.  He is planning on majoring in business management. Jackson State’s coach is Eddie Payton, brother of the late Walter Payton.  In his essay to college coaches, Kevin says, “In order to succeed in the game, I’ve had to develop patience, mixed with a blend of anticipation, planning and acceptance, focused balance around a moment of execution. Patience allows me to respect all of the effort I place into life, not just moments of recognition. Patience will allow me to stay focused on my studies, allowing me to achieve my full potential in all areas of my life.  Perseverance is the will to do better. It is the determination to stick with it and grind out the best possible outcome, no matter what factors are against you.”  For more information on Kevin, visit his NSR website: http://app.nsr-inc.com/prospectWebsite/athleticInformation.aspx?id=185229.  Kevin’s NSR scout is Jason Lauren, Southeast Wisconsin AD.
