When my daughter, Emily started her junior year of high school volleyball I was referred by a friend to Kari Chavez with NSR. I contacted Kari to get more information about recruiting since I was very unfamiliar with what was involved. She was very informative and let me know she would not sign up Emily without seeing her play in person. Within a week she drove 4 hours one way to watch one of Emily's games.
Kari was very honest letting Emily know she thought she could play at the D3 or NAIA level in College. Emily really wanted to play at the D2 level. Kari let her know what she needed to work on to get to the next level. Emily received extra volleyball training and strength training as Kari recommended and recently Emily committed to a D2 University.
I appreciated Kari's honest evaluation and her support throughout the recruiting process. Even though she is 4 hours away from us I feel like she is just down the street. She is always quick to respond to a phone call, text or email. I couldn't be happier with Kari and NSR and the whole recruiting experience.

As parents of a high school athlete, it was important for us to support our daughter in her goal of playing volleyball at the collegiate level. But being from a small town presented limitations. We didn't know how to go about exposing her to college coaches, or how to tackle the recruiting process. Our daughter's high school coach suggested we call NSR recruiter, Kari Chavez. After meeting with Kari, we realized quickly we had found an ally that would work long hours on our daughter's behalf to find the perfect school for her abilities. Kari spent time evaluating our daughter in one-on-one meetings, and in the gym as an athlete. Her feedback was honest and spot-on, which set the foundation for finding our daughter the right fit.
As parents, we also had an opportunity to evaluate Kari at work. Her presence at national tournaments and her relationships with collegiate coaches at every level proved to us she could do what she said. But the most important feedback we received throughout the recruiting process came from the college coaches themselves. As our daughter was being recruited, time and again coaches referred to their respect of Kari's opinions because she was so accurate in the evaluations of her athletes. Coaches rely heavily on Kari for feedback, because they know she doesn't over-inflate her athletes like other recruiting organizations do. The result is the proper fit for both athlete and coach, with Kari serving as the connection between the two.
The investment we made in Kari and NSR was priceless. In the 11 months we worked with Kari, our daughter received full ride offers to Division 1 & Division 2 universities. Kari's passion for her athletes and NSR is second to none, and although the business relationship has come to an end, the personal friendship our family has developed with Kari will remain strong for years to come.
