Today marks the beginning of our T*W*I*S (This Week In Sports) feature which we will tag persons or organizations as Cool and Uncool for their actions in the previous week’s news.  We hope you enjoy the play on names in Week One of TWIS:

Cool:  High five to UNC athletic director Dick Baddour who refused to circumvent the NCAA investigation into their football program.  Suspending seven key players and leaving another six in Chapel Hill prior to their important national TV match-up with SEC power LSU was the right thing to do and the AD never flinched.  The Tarheels still nearly beat the Tigers.  Baddour, no chance.  it’s Gooddour all the way.  Very cool.

Uncool:  NFL Comish Roger Goodell for shortening Ben Rothlisberger’s six game suspension to four games.  Big Ben didn’t deserve the break and it’s not sending the proper message to other NFL players, not to mention players and coaches at every level of sports in America.  #7 should have been required to go home without pay, period.  Goodell, not this time.  His evil twin, Badell, steals the show.  Very uncool, Rog.
