You don’t have to go far to discover the difference between National Scouting Report and its competitors.

First: Internet and telemarketing-based recruiting services are a waste of time. Or so say the many families that have used them.  Then some of those families get offered the opportunity to be a part of the NSR Scouting organization. They then realize the different is night and day.

Second: when parents see NSR scouts actually working, that is scouting, at games, matches, meets, tournaments, combines and showcases, they suddenly get it – a legit scouting organization is supposed to, well, scout. NSR covers America with scouts. We are within reach of a majority of high school athletes wanting to be recruited. That is a huge one-up for those prospects.

NSR-scout

I mean, really, how can you scout and never see an athlete practice or perform? Or how can you speak to a college coach about an athlete’s competitiveness, drive, work ethic or character if you, as his or her scout, have not once sat down and had a personal conversation?

Actually, you can’t. That’s why nearly 37 years ago Bob Rigney set as NSR’s standard to personally scout and get to know a prospect before bringing that athlete before college coaches for consideration.  It was the right thing to do in 1980 and it’s the right thing to do today.

Some things are fundamental necessities. Scouting prospects in person is one of those recruiting requirements. Any service that says it’s not is using smoke and mirrors.

Oh, a recruiting service can streamline a lot of the operation’s  by buying roster books, hiring a boatload of college kids to make x-number of calls every night. They will no doubt capture a few unsuspecting, naive, gullible families. You might even get a whole bunch of them to lay down a couple of thousand bucks for a website. What about the actual recruiting process? What about having somebody you know out there working for your best interests, you know, who will call and talk to college coaches about you, or help set up campus visits, or advise you when college coaches start getting serious about making offers? Who do you turn to then? Your buddy in the cubicle?

Prospects and parents want the real deal. National Scouting Report is just that – proven, professional, personal.

National Scouting Report, a scouting organization first and foremost, has served prospects and college coaches since 1980. NSR is not a “recruiting service” because NSR selects and offers the opportunity to deserving athletes. A “recruiting service” will enroll anyone willing to pay them the fee. Parents, you must know the difference. Get to know the National Scouting Report scout in your area. Then you will see the difference.
