Seth Roberts

Multi-talented is the only way to describe our Male Athlete of the Day, Seth Roberts.  This exceptional Anton High School (Whistler, AL) football prospect has accumulated an extraordinary list of honors and accomplishments to date.  (See his profile here).  Ranked in the top ten percent of his class academically, Seth carries a 3.8 GPA and expects to pursue a major in Physical Education.  His scout is Coach Robert Cagle who played at Ole Miss and is an expert at football scouting and recruiting.  In his scouting report on Seth, Coach Cagle says, “Seth is a solid performer!  This young man is growing and will be one to watch in the future.  He is hardworking, coachable, smart and has a great attitude.  Currently he is being used as an offensive linemen and defensive linemen at his small high school.  He has great strength and speed.  At the collegiate level, Seth will be a Tight End, Defensive End or Linebacker.  He has good hands and quick feet.  His football knowledge is advanced and he has a self driving attitude that make him better.  He will be a solid collegiate football athlete at the right school.”  Seth talks about his approach to football, school and life in his essay to college coaches when he says, “Football is more than a sport to me, it is an important aspect of my life that is helping to shape the person I am and the man I will become. I believe it takes hard work, commitment and team work to be successful. I show my dedication to my team, coaches, and school by demonstrating a strong work ethic, maintaining a high GPA and being a leader on and off the football field.  I am a Christian with strong Christian values. I am active in my church and community. I apply attributes from my strong faith to all aspects of my life. I carry those values everywhere including on the football field and school. I realize that these same attributes are necessary to be successful at the collegiate level and throughout life.  One of my personal dreams is to play football at the collegiate level. I am committed to pursuing that dream and persevering on the field and the classroom to make that dream a reality.Thank you for your consideration and I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you as I consider my collegiate future.”
