Kesi Goree

We are proud to announce that our Female Athlete of the Day is Kesi Goree from Southampton High School in Southampton, New York.  This 5’10” forward has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for NYIT (New York Institute of Technology).  Her considerable list of achievements include being named All-League for two years along with MVP of her team.  Her NSR scout, Dan Greco, says, “Kesi is the type of young lady who works hard in the classroom as well as on the court. She is a strong and powerful forward (5’10” 160lbs.) but has the speed and agility of a 1. She has a soft shoot and is dominant under the boards. She has the ability to really shut someone down on defense and is very much a team player. Kesi has played varsity since her 7th grade year for Southampton High on Long Island,NY which is a tremendous accomplishment by itself. She is the type of player who has the drive and determination to continue to improve and make her mark at the next level.”  And Kesi herself states that, “As a starting player on varsity since the 7th grade and team captain for two years I have developed into a  power forward but I have also worked hard to play the outside to hit the mid-range and 3 point shots.  I have attended basketball clinics with trainers, Pat McGunnigle as well as Jerry Powell of Basketball Results.  I have had the opportunity to participate in the Lady Tarheels Basketball Camp in North Carolina and the KSA Tournament in Orlando, Florida where our high school basketball team won 1st place in 2010.  This year I led my highschool team to the Suffolk County and  Long Island Class B Championships.  I consider myself to be a well rounded player with positive energy and always working to improve my game.  I look forward to future challenges while playing at the college level.”
