A 6’3″ 295-pound lineman from Brookland-Cayce High School in Cayce, South Carolina, McFarland Murph, is our Male Athlete of the Day.   He has a 3.2 GPA and plans to major in Sports Communication.   McFarland’s NSR scout, Central South Carolina Area Director, Jeff Hipp, has this to say about him, “At offensive line, McFarland can play tackle or guard and is a solid run and pass blocker. McFarland has the tools to contribute in today’s spread offenses as well as opening holes for a powerful running game. Good technique and feet, along with upper body strength and hands, provide him with the ability to consistently do the job.”  To college coaches, he says, “I am a high character person. I have never been arrested, suspended or even received a disciplinary referral in my entire life. I have the ability to separate the aggression on the feild from the rest of the world. Any program who gives me the opportunity to play will not have to worry about me getting into any trouble and will have a young man who will always make the program proud.”
