Sophomore QB’s Season Stats Place Him Among Nation’s Elite

Statistics are telling in many ways and when it comes to NCAA Division I quarterbacks, completions per game (CPG) is one of the most important numbers to track.  Former NSR prospect and Oklahoma Sooner QB Landry Jones had one of the most impressive CPG’s in all of college football this past season.  In 13 games played against one of DI’s most demanding schedules, Landry completed 28.54 throws, ranking him second only to East Carolina’s Dominique Davis’ 29.83.  In the NCAA overall individual offensive data tracking, Landry finished 5th in the country with 320.31 yards per game of total offense, 2nd in passing yards with 4,289, and 10th in points responsible for per game (16.62).  Not too bad for a sophomore.  Think Sooner Nation is chomping at the bit waiting for next year to roll around?
