Kaitlan Jamieson

We are extremely proud to introduce Kaitlan Jamieson, a 2012 volleyball prospect from New Tech High School in Manor, Texas, as our Female Athlete of the Day. Kaitlan recently committed to play for Williams Baptist Universityin College City, Arkansas. She is a 5’9″ versatile player who can play front or back row. Her GPA is 3.0. She earned All-District honors as a junior and senior. The compliments abound from her NSR scout, Central Texas AD Randy Evans who says of Kaitlan, “Kaitlan is one of those athletes that the more you watch her, the better you like her. She is extremely athletic, shows great agility and is a true competitor. She is also very versatile, she can play anywhere on the back row and still has the vertical and arm strength to be an effective OH. But what sets her apart from most girls is her leadership characteristics and her desire. She hates to lose, but manages to stay positive and is a great team leader, both vocally and with her play on the court.”  In her essay to college coaches, she says, ” Being an athlete has helped me both physically and mentally to become a well-rounded person, woman and player and as a result, I have an optimistic view point towards life. I strive to make myself a better volleyball player each and every day by building strong relationships and becoming a better communicator. I’ve always had a strong bond with the coaches that I’ve trained with. They have taught me many core life values, such as: discipline, courtesy, perseverance, and loyalty to oneself and team. I consider myself a strong athlete and I train hard to improve in every aspect of the sport.”
