Freshman from Bastrop, Texas, Tosses Second Gem in School History

Jordan Mundine

Former NSR softball prospect and Texas Lutheran University freshman right-hander Jordan Mundine was recently named the American Southwest Conference West Division Pitcherof the Week.  Jordan tossed a perfect game with six strikeouts in an ASC West 8-0 win over Sul Ross State.  Her gem was the second perfect game in school history.  It was also the 10th no-hitter in school history and the second one this season.  Jordan faced the minimum 15 batters to be officially recorded as a perfect game.  She went 2-0 for the week and did not allow a run, striking out 14 in 12 innings of work.  Mundine ended the year with a 9-10 overall record and a 2.67 ERA. She tossed 15 complete games and four shutouts.  The 5’2″ hurler comes from Bastrop High in Bastrop, TX.  Jordan’s major is Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice .  Her NSR scout was Central Texas Area Director, Randy Evans.
