Aaron Waltman

Our Male Athlete of the Day is Aaron Waltman, a baseball player from Mobile Christian School in Mobile, Alabama, who has committed to play for Blue Mountain State College in Blue Mountain, Mississippi.  The pitcher/infielder was a multi-sport standout in high school, carring a 3.0 GPA.  In his scouting report on Aaron, Coach Robert Cagle, NSR AD for Southern Mississippi, says, “Aaron is a very impressive young man on and off the field. He has very good bat speed and plays the “small ball” game with precision. His hands are soft and fast making him a very sharp middle infielder. He reaction time on the ball from bat to glove is excellent.”   In his essay to college coaches, Aaron says, ” I work hard each day on the field in an effort to become the best player I can be. I am the type of player who puts the team first. I understand the role assigned to me by my coach and I am willing to play that role in order to give the team an opportunity to be successful. I pride myself in having the quickness to take away base hits as a middle infielder. I am confident in my glove and believe that is one of my best qualities as a player.”
