Coach Hill is a former collegiate baseball coach and spent the last 15 years coaching in North Carolina and Tennessee. The Greenville, NC native grew up playing baseball all over the state and continued playing college ball in North Carolina at Chowan University in Murfreesboro. Hill has been on staff at NJCAA and NCAA division 2 schools during his coaching career in every roll from head coach to recruiting coordinator and strength and conditioning coach. For over the last decade he has been involved in summer collegiate baseball as a head coach and most recently in the front office as Director of Scouting and Player Development. Regardless of which role, Hill has been driven by changing lives through sports and is excited to continue that through National Scouting Report.

Jamey Newsome comes to NSR with 25 years of soccer coaching experience. Newsome has coached at many different levels from college to elite youth programs. Newsome’s college background extends from Div. 1, Div. 2, and NAIA. His college coaching experience is with Georgia Southern University, USC Upstate, Mars Hill University, and Auburn University Montgomery. Newsome served as Assistant Director for Darlington School Soccer Academy in Rome, GA. Plus, the Interim DOC for Cannons SC in Newnan GA and staff coach for Highland FC in Asheville, NC. He spent 12 years on staff with the South Regions USYSA ODP program. He was a Region Staff Coach for 6 years, as well as, ODP state staff for Georgia and Alabama. He is also a Regional Director for No1 Soccer Camps. Newsome has earned the United Soccer Coaches "Premier" Coaching Diploma, US Soccer "B" Coaching License, and KNVB Advanced Coaching Certificate. This experience provides Newsome knowledge of the sport and college recruiting from a college coaches perspective to the youth directors mentoring for his young athletes. His goal is to help young athletes reach their goal of fulfilling a dream to play and study at the collegiate level and will not stop until that happens.
