College Scouts are on the ground in Allegheny Region.

The staff at NSR is dedicated to finding scholarship opportunities for athletes in Allegheny Region that possess the talent, desire, and motivation to compete at the collegiate level. We provide athletic evaluations, academic guidance, and an in-depth education on the recruiting process. Upon successful evaluation and qualification into our program, National Scouting Report will provide the appropriate link between the student athlete and over 2,000 colleges and universities across the country.

If you see an NSR scout at your next event, be sure to ask them any questions you may have about college recruiting, and how NSR can help secure the futures of young athletes.

Coach Florin Marton brings to the National Scouting Report 30+ years of college coaching experience and expertise. During this time, he has recruited thousands [literally] of prospective student-athletes for the collegiate teams he coached. If anybody has mastered the art of college recruiting, it is coach Marton. He knows what college coaches are looking for and what qualities are most desired in the young athletes to be successful in college, both athletically and academically. Moreover, coach Marton knows the collegiate system better than most, having coached for a long time both in the NCAA and NAIA systems. Such, his advice will carry significant weight with both receiving college coaches and prospective student-athletes and their families. Florin Marton started coaching during the final seasons of his 14 years professional playing career in Romania as he earned his National Coaching License. Marton began by coaching at the youth levels before spending time as a player/coach with CFR-Victoria Caransebes of the Romanian National Leagues. Marton came to the US in 1991 and began working with youth clubs in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Starting in the Fall of 1993 he served as an assistant coach at Carleton and Macalester Colleges in Minnesota, both at the same time! (He says: I must have been the only coach in the world to coach two different college teams, at the same time despite the fact they were playing against each other in the same conference) In 1994 Florin Marton took over as the head coach at Carleton College. From Carleton, coach Marton went on to coach both men's and women’s college teams in Iowa, Wisconsin and West Virginia. To round off a very successful coaching tenure coach Florin Marton also won the WVIAC Championship in Mens Tennis in 2006 (Soccer Conference Championships were in the bag already) which earned Salem International University its only NCAA National Tournament participation. In a storied college coaching career that first began in 1993 in Minnesota, coach Florin Marton has built and rebuilt teams from ashes to perennial powerhouses. Over the years, his college teams won 5 Conference Championships both on the mens and women’s sides, in two different sports. Florin Marton earned a Masters degree in Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Timisoara, in his native Romania. For Soccer he also holds a National Coaching License from the US Soccer Federation.
