Originally from Madrid, Spain, Jose always has been a part of the Basketball world as well as Soccer, Track & Field and other sports. He started playing with four years and at 21 he was a coach. From there, he turned hard to teach the youngest his passion for basketball. After a few seasons with success, in 2013 the time came for him to become technical director at his club, taking another step in his career. From there he has helped to grow the club up to the 40 teams that currently make it (when he arrived there were only 11). In the world of scouting, Jose wants to be able to help young athletes fulfill their dreams of continuing to compete and studying at the highest level without having to give up either. He and his wife Caitlin live in Madrid although they spend much of the year in Wisconsin. They have a son, named Leo and a daughter, Jordan.

I grew up in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin playing every sport I possibly could. I eventually chose Baseball and Hockey to be my primary focus. I played both baseball (4 years) and hockey (1 year) at Marian University right in my hometown. After college, I landed a teaching position in Williams Bay, Wisconsin and became the Head Varsity Softball Coach. In my 23 years as head coach, the Williams Bay Softball team won numerous conference and regional championships along with a sectional and state championship in 2007. During those years, the program amassed 264 wins and I was selected to coach in the Wisconsin Fast-pitch Softball Coaches Association Senior All-Star Game 3 different times. I look forward to working with the student-athletes and their families to achieve the goal of playing college athletics. Know that I will treat your student-athletes as an individual and know that I want what is best for them and their families.

Originally from West Bend, Wisconsin, Caitlin has spent over a decade living abroad in Madrid, Spain. You could say that scouting is the family business as her husband, Jose, is also an NSR scout. She is excited to give student-athletes, both at home and abroad, the help and guidance they need to successfully follow their dream and take their talents and hardwork to the next level. Caitlin has two small kids at home, Leo and Jordan, and is already looking forward to becoming an NSR parent in the future.
