High School, Kennedy was recruited to play baseball at Ball State University in Muncie, Ind.\u00a0 He chose the Cardinals over South Carolina and Kent State.\u00a0\u00a0Knee problems shortened his collegiate career, so he became an assistant baseball coach at Muncie Central\u00a0High\u00a0School while\u00a0working toward his bachelor&#8217;s degree in Exercise Science.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Muncie Central was the school that Hickory defeated for\u00a0the state basketball title in the movie, Hoosiers,&#8221; Kennedy noted. &#8220;That&#8217;s a cool, little fact that I like to tell people. It gave me the chance to work with high school athletes which is something I&#8217;ve continued to do as an adult.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Following college, Kennedy worked in healthcare for four years, but couldn&#8217;t ignore his desire to help young people.\u00a0 He made the decision to become a teacher and coach, both of which he did for 12 years in\u00a0Connecticut until he discovered NSR.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8324\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8324\" style=\"width: 340px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nsr-inc.com\/scouting-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Brendan-Kennedy-4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-8324\" src=\"\/\/www.nsr-inc.com\/scouting-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Brendan-Kennedy-4-300x234.jpg\" alt=\"Kennedy with NSR prospects Joey Porricelli (left) and Cam Kovachik who played for Clubhouse out of CT. \" width=\"350\" height=\"273\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nsr-inc.com\/scouting-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Brendan-Kennedy-4-300x234.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.nsr-inc.com\/scouting-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Brendan-Kennedy-4.jpg 331w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8324\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Kennedy with NSR prospects Joey Porricelli (left) and Cam Kovachik of Connecticut.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8220;I researched NSR on the Internet for some time before applying,&#8221; he said.\u00a0 What he found was\u00a0a company that seemed to\u00a0match what he was looking to do next in his professional career.<\/p>\n<p>Kennedy, 40, lives with his wife, Desiree, and two children, Gina and Jordan, in Kennebunk, Maine, a small town on the coast famous as the summer home of former President George H.
