We are pleased to announce that our Female Athlete of the Day is a 5’8″ pitcher, corner softball player from Piedmont High School in Piedmont, Oklahoma, Jordan Chism<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 A standout on the softball diamond having been named All-Conference the past two years, Jordan is ranked number one in her senior class with a 4.15 GPA.\u00a0 Her coach at Piedmont, Rick Scott, says of her, “The most impressive thing about Jordan is that she is very coachable!\u00a0 Jordan always wants to improve and be the best.\u00a0 She does not like to lose, in anything!\u00a0 Her grade point is excellent and she plays on the Oklahoma Athletics for summer ball and they play a very tough schedule.\u00a0 I have been blessed to coach a lot of great softball players at Piedmont.\u00a0 Jordan has the chance to become one of the top.\u00a0 If she will continue to work like she has and stay focused, there is nothing in the world of softball or life that she cannot succeed in doing.”\u00a0 And in her essay to college coaches, she describes herself this way, “I have learned that no matter what you are doing in life, you must work at it with all you have, never becoming complacent.\u00a0 I know that I have all of the experience needed to play at the collegiate level. I also am confident that this is what the Lord has planned for me and I want nothing more than to fulfill my dreams of playing competitive college softball. I strive to be the best leader, person, player, and student I can be daily; knowing that one day all of my hard work will pay off.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
