Steele High School in Universal CityMy goal has always been to play soccer in college. Lauren carries a 3.5 GPA and wants to become a nurse. She recently earned All-District distinction in Class 5A as well as Scholastic All-District which she also was named following her sophomore and junior years. Rich Renevier is her NSR scout and here’s his scouting report on this exceptional student-athlete: “Lauren is as dedicated in the classroom as she is on the pitch. She possesses good speed and strength that enables her to stay on the ball even when tightly defended. For all her accomplishments on the field Lauren has also been recognized each year by being named to the Academic All Dist. Team since her freshman year. Lauren is accustomed to playing on the left side which she does for both her club and high school teams. Elected club team captain as well as club MVP Lauren leads and motivates her teammates throughout the match. She has a strong leg with good placement which leads to her taking the majority of kicks awarded. Lauren works tirelessly on the field and puts in extra effort as often as opportunities present themselves. She not only plays for her club and high school but will often receive requests to guest play for other teams when her own team is not in action. Lauren’s abilities make her the complete package for programs looking for dedication, leadership and the drive to win.” In her note to college coaches, Lauren says, “My goal has always been to play soccer in college. I can play both sides of the field; have similar strength shooting right or left footed. I read the ‘game’ well, knowing where my team mates are and where my opposition is. Hard work and extra practices are not a problem for me. My Club (U17 girls) team only practices 2-3 days a week. The other days I practice with my Club’s U17 boys’ team. I have found their game a lot faster than our girls’ team and this helps me to work on my speed and reading the ‘game’ quicker. Thank you for taking time to visit my website.”

Our Female Athlete of the Day is a 5’3″ midfielder, Lauren Head, from Brian P.
