Jayme Shell<\/strong> <\/a>from Batesville High School in Batesville, Arkansas, is our Female Athlete of the Day.\u00a0 She is a 3.76 student with aspirations of becoming a physical therapist.\u00a0 A 5’10” outside hitter, Jayme earned All-State and Class 5A All-State Tournament Team as a junior.\u00a0 Her NSR<\/strong> scout is Rodney Stroud<\/strong>.\u00a0 In his scouting report, Rodney says, “Jayme Shell is an extremely talented volleyball player.\u00a0 She has all of the physical tools to dominate at the net.\u00a0 She is a consistant scorer and can attack any set.\u00a0 Jayme has worked hard on herfundamental skills as well a her athleticism.\u00a0 She is an excellent jumper and canhit over most blocks.\u00a0 She is also an outstanding student with high caliber character.\u00a0 She is the type of studen athlete that a coach can make the centerpoint of a program.”\u00a0 In\u00a0her essay to college coaches, Jayme says, “I have always been a big competitor, and I just love to win. My dad has always helped me in whatever sport I was in and encouraged me to do the best I can. I have a wonderful and supporting family. My mom records and tapes my games so I can go back to watch my mistakes and learn from them. Sports in general, I believe builds character. Since I was younger, I have always been put in gymnastic classes over my level, softball teams over my league, and it makes me want to prove myself to be even better.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
