{"id":6712,"date":"2012-10-23T14:25:09","date_gmt":"2012-10-23T14:25:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nsr-inc.com\/blog\/?p=6712"},"modified":"2012-10-23T14:25:09","modified_gmt":"2012-10-23T14:25:09","slug":"for-high-school-senior-prospects-the-more-choices-the-better","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nsr-inc.com\/scouting-news\/for-high-school-senior-prospects-the-more-choices-the-better\/","title":{"rendered":"For high school senior prospects, the more choices, the better"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Options are rare for most prospects, but they are attainable if you choose the right route<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"mceTemp\">\n<figure id=\"attachment_6718\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6718\" style=\"width: 290px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/nsr-inc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Cross-Country-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6718\" title=\"Cross Country 2\" src=\"\/\/nsr-inc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Cross-Country-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6718\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Taking the wrong route could get you lost in recruiting.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>High school senior prospects too frequently are forced to settle for accepting an offer from the one school that finds them.\u00a0 Why is this, you ask?\u00a0 It&#8217;s typically because parents have bought into the erroneous idea that participating in club or travel sports will automatically result in tons of coaches seeing them and making them offers.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>This thought process is understandable, but it is not real world recruiting.\u00a0 Yes,\u00a0club and travel tournaments, showcases and related\u00a0events are where college\u00a0coaches do\u00a0most of their eyes-on recruiting.\u00a0 But, the fallacy of this supposition\u00a0revolves around the fact that nearly every college coach attending these events already know who they are going to evaluate when they arrive.\u00a0\u00a0They\u00a0have already received info on\u00a0prospects from, and this is the key, reliable sources.\u00a0 And, in truth, mamma and daddy aren&#8217;t the reliable sources college coaches depend upon.
