A 5’7″ soccer player with a 3.1 GPA, Ashlyn\u00a0Butts<\/strong> <\/a>is our Female Athlete of the Day.\u00a0 Hailing from Strong Rock Christian School in Locust Grove, Georgia, Ashley wants to major in Biology with dreams of\u00a0eventually\u00a0becoming a veterinarian.\u00a0 A three-sport athlete, her NSR<\/strong> scout John Arnold<\/strong> says, “Ashlyn is very athletic and has outstanding speed as her #1 asset. She is very competitive and sports-focused in her extra-curricular life. As a soccer player, Ashlyn is a total team player and extremely unselfish. She has a very good skill set.\u00a0 She is very versatile and can play multiple positions and is willing to play any position in which she can best help the team. \u00a0Ashlyn is very coachable and has a strong work-ethic.”\u00a0 In her essay to college coaches, Ashlyn says, “I have always said that dedication and commitment are traits that I find very important in any individual and their ability to succeed in life. I am devoted to these characteristics, not only in the classroom, but on the field and in preparation for both. I believe in having a positive attitude and being full of life and energy will inspire others to follow and enable a greater environment for success. Being properly prepared enhances the outcome of any test, whether it’s in the classroom or on the field. I am committed to being the best athlete I can be and giving 110% at every practice and competition.”<\/p>\n
