Karley Allen<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Karley Allen<\/strong> <\/a>is a 5’11” outside hitter from New Kent High School<\/strong> in New Kent, Virginia.\u00a0\u00a0 Karley is an exceptional talent having earned\u00a02nd Team All-State,\u00a01st Team All-Region and 1st Team All-District.\u00a0\u00a0She carries an impressive 4.12 GPA and is ranked 19th of 215 classmates.\u00a0 Her NSR<\/strong> scout, Wayne Castelow<\/strong>, says of her, “Karley Allen is a very intense competitor. She is a natural athlete and has a passion for the game of volleyball and it shows every time she steps onto the court. She is always focused and brings and aggressive style of play to her team. Karley has a strong, accurate shot and uses all parts of the court to score. She is very quick and makes digs that other players cannot react too. She is the stats leader in several areas for her high school team and has set\/is set to break several career records. Karley is a leader, voted captain by her high school teammates. She is a confident young woman on and off the court.”\u00a0 In her essay to college coaches, Karley says, “Junior year I reached 650 career kills, becoming the first junior in school history to reach or exceed the 500 kill mark. I led the team in kills, blocks, service aces, digs, passing efficiency, hitting percentage and total points.\u00a0 I made First Team All-Bay Rivers District and First Team All- Region. I also earned the team MVP award for the second consecutive year. I played club for my high school coach for two years, Mid-Atlantic Volleyball Club 16 Nationals for one year and currently play for Richmond Volleyball Club 17 Nationals.\u00a0 I enjoy playing volleyball and I am driven to continually improve my skills and understanding of the game.\u00a0 The fast tempo of the game and always having a job on the court whether it be hitting, setting, passing, covering, blocking, or even calling what spot is open for a hitter or if the ball is in or out leaves no time to rest. The intensity of the game is what keeps me having fun and enjoying every minute I\u2019m on the court. I hope to continue playing in college at a competitive level and pushed to not only improve, but also reach my full potential.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
