Tara Swanson<\/strong> <\/a>is a 5’6″ midfielder from Royal Oak High School<\/strong> in Royal Oak, Michigan.\u00a0 Steve Lamay<\/strong> is her NSR<\/strong> scout and in his scouting report he says, “Tara Swanson is a positionally sound defender. She is very rarely caught out of position. She possesses excellent field vision and game knowledge. Using those assets she is able to anticpate plays before they happen. She recognizes the time and place for runs and make good ones. Understands the importance of maintaining possession and rotating the field.”<\/p>\n

In her essay to college coaches, Tara says, “I have the ability to make an impact on and off the pitch. On the pitch, I help out the defense to win the ball back and then help out the offence by making supporting runs and getting forward. I want to make that very important pass, or score that game winning goal in the last two minutes. I will not just sit back and say I was there. I want to say I was a part of it and made a difference. I also have the ability to make a difference off the pitch. This year for my high school team I organized a breast cancer game to help raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. For some people I realize it might be the \u201clast two minutes of their game\u201d. I want to help people whether it be by helping them get treatment, or even just putting a smile on their faces.
