Marisa Magnuson<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

NSR<\/strong> prospects around the globe make their presence known every day in competitions.\u00a0\u00a0Marisa Magnuson<\/a><\/strong>, a 2013 softball prospect from Matanzas High School<\/a> in Palm Coast, Florida is no exception.\u00a0 The 5’1″ pitcher\/middle infielder went 5 for 5 with a double and a triple against NSB this week.\u00a0 <\/strong>Marisa also pitched a complete game for the W, this coming on the heels of a no-hitter she tossed last weekend in the Bell High School <\/strong>tournament.\u00a0 In his scouting report on Marissa, North Central Florida AD Dave Johnson<\/strong> <\/a>said, “Marisa Magnuson is the type of student-athlete coaches wish they had nine of.\u00a0 She works hard, plays wherever needed, and leads not only on the field by example but also in her personal relationships with other players and coaches. Over the last couple of years I have seen Marissa pitch, play\u00a0second base\u00a0and shortstop.\u00a0\u00a0She is a very good defensive player, too.\u00a0 I have oberved her making sevral great plays at second including diving stops and still throwing out runners. She is softball smart. As a hitter, she is clutch. At 5’1″ she is not going to hit many dingers, but she will suprise you with gap power. She also can slap when the situation calls for it.”\u00a0 In her essay to college coaches, Marissa says, “I play softball daily and give 110% every time I step on the field. I love diving after balls and making those memorable plays. Getting dirty is my passion.”\u00a0 Marisa carries a 3.7 GPA and has plans to major in\u00a0Anatomy.<\/p>\n
