class="wp-caption-text">You can run with the experts or risk having your recruiting efforts grind to a halt.

College recruiting is a science with rules that are constantly changing. All sorts of different things come into play which are unknown to casual observers. But, there’s just enough info spread around online and in newspapers that make a lot of people think that they are experts, or at least believe they have enough knowledge to give high school prospects good advice. And that, in a nutshell, is the problem most prospects and their parents face as they ask, “Who can I believe?”

Just because your neighbor subscribes to Popular Mechanics does not make him a reliable source for repairing your car when it grinds to a halt. And, just because your coach knows the sport you play does not mean that he or she is up to speed on how the recruiting process works, the latest rules and, more importantly, how you can most effectively get noticed, evaluated and recruited. The sooner you understand that key point, the sooner you can get beyond expecting help from him or her which is highly unlikely to happen. In short, it is not your coach’s job to help you get recruited. They are not intimately involved in the world of recruiting every day. They are not talking to college coaches every day. They are not regularly in touch with the NCAA. And they are not locked into the recruiting process with a variety of prospects that are traversing their own journey. So coaches, for the most part, are a dead end in terms of recruiting.

Even your friends and their parents that have recently been through the process are less reliable than you might assume. Why? Because they had their own issues and perspectives which may not be in the same hemisphere of what you are about to experience. The same coaches that recruited them will probably not be recruiting you. The same schools they were interested in will probably not be the schools you will be interested in attending. Your situation is unique and you deserve to have someone alongside you throughout the process that is not jaded by the recruiting grind. You need an objective advisor that offers you solid information and choices to consider.

So, get it into your head now that you need an expert in recruiting to lead and counsel you. For 32 years, National Scouting Report has successfully led prospects of all types and in all sports through the recruiting process. We will educate you, provide updated recruiting information for you and show you how to get noticed, evaluated and recruited by college coaches. We aren’t in the business as an afterthought. We’re in it full bore every day, 24/7.

You only get once chance in your life to be recruited to be a college student-athlete. You can choose to let unreliable, disconnected people, regardless of how much you like them, take you down the wrong path. Or, you can get an expert to show the way. It’s your life and your choice. But, remember, this will only come around once. That’s it. Once. Contact NSR today to see if you qualify. www.nsr-inc.com
