From Middle Park High School<\/a> in Granby, Colorado, we proudly present Sam Tracy, a 5’7″ hitter, setter and defensive specialist, as our Female Athlete of the Day.\u00a0\u00a0Her high school coach, Meghan Schoen\u00a0describes Sam this way:\u00a0 “Sam is a very physical, aggressive and fearless athlete. She only knows one speed and, at 50% contributes more than her teammates at 100%. When she performs basic vb skills, with her high level of intensity, she is one to watch. Coaches: set her a goal and she will achieve it!”\u00a0\u00a0She has earned a 3.5 GPA and wants to become a nurse.\u00a0 Mike Simbro,\u00a0Northwest Colorado AD<\/a><\/strong>, is her NSR scout. says, “Motivated, smart and hard-working are the common adjectives that describe Sam and her style of play. I can appreciate how hard Sam has worked over the years overcoming adversity all the while improving her skills and abilities on and off the court.”\u00a0 Perhaps even more revealing are Sam’s own words in her essay to college coaches when she says, “As a coach you should know, I will not do anything 50% and will take anything and everything into consideration while you coach me. I listen, and work my hardest to make any change necessary to my play. I work hard to motivate my teammates and do my best to keep them working hard and having fun at all times on and off the court.
