If you are a senior with no attention from college coaches, time is wasting. NSR can help.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

High school seniors that are clamoring for attention from college coaches are seeing their chances dwindle as spring approaches.\u00a0 Especially those seniors without at college recruiting plan, you know, the ones who thought coaches would find them, are facing the possibility that their dream of being a college student-athlete will go unrealized.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But, there is still hope if they knuckle down now.\u00a0 Forget what anyone\u00a0else has said, you are up against it if no college coaches have\u00a0recognized\u00a0that you are indeed qualified to play\u00a0sports at the college level.\u00a0 Here’s a\u00a0quick-hit list for you to follow, but make no mistake, you need to get\u00a0on board\u00a0immediately, if not sooner:<\/p>\n

  1. Target\u00a020 colleges at the NCAA DII, DIII, NAIA and JUCO levels.\u00a0<\/strong> DI is now, for the most part, out of the\u00a0question.\u00a0 Nearly all NCAA DI programs are finished with their 2012\u00a0 recruiting and are homing in on 2013\u00a0and 2014 prospects.\u00a0\u00a0Except perhaps for a few whose current\u00a0scholarship athletes will flunk out or transfer, there aren’t going to be spots available.\u00a0 And, the coaches already have a long\u00a0list of\u00a02012 prospects\u00a0they’ve already\u00a0identified, so the chance of getting on their\u00a02012 white boards\u00a0this late are remote at best.\u00a0 Focus on NCAA DII, DIII, NAIA and JUCO where scholarship and roster spots are still on the table.\u00a0<\/li>\n
  2. Contact National Scouting Report<\/strong> if you are an athlete in a minor sport.\u00a0 NSR can still help you win a scholarship.\u00a0\u00a0Our aggressive marketing and\u00a0OTG (on-the-ground) scouts will get you attention even up until late spring, but each\u00a0day is critical if you are to reach your goal.\u00a0 Waiting is not an option.<\/li>\n
  3. Get\u00a0your stats, grades,\u00a0video\u00a0and references in good order.<\/strong>\u00a0 No coach at this late date will go near you without these key evaluation requirements.\u00a0 Only include\u00a0your\u00a0senior, junior and sophomore athletic info. Anything further back at\u00a0this point is, well, pointless.\u00a0\u00a0Don’t burden coaches with reams of stuff which don’t\u00a0really matter to\u00a0them.\u00a0 But, make absolutely certain that your\u00a0academic info includes your unweighted GPA, SAT\u00a0or ACT scores, class rank and intended major.\u00a0 If the coach has any interest, he or she will want to\u00a0have the flexibility to send this info to their admissions office to find out what you may qualify for in academic awards.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    NSR can\u00a0still make things happen for you, if<\/em> you play a minor sport, but if you\u00a0play a major DI college sport, those being football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball,\u00a0do not expect an offer this late.\u00a0 Go the NCAA DII, DIII, NAIA or JUCO routes.\u00a0 You can always\u00a0transfer\u00a0later to a NCAA DI program if you produce at the NCAA DII level and know that you belong\u00a0at the highest level.\u00a0 That is a viable option.\u00a0 For now,\u00a0your objective should be to get an offer, get on a team and secure a position\u00a0in college athletics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
