It’s True, Choices Abound, but Only One Pick Will Get Real Results<\/strong><\/p>\n

Your chance of winning an athletic scholarship only comes once. What are you doing with yours?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

You want a college athletic scholarship.\u00a0 Your grades are good.\u00a0 Your competitive drive is strong.\u00a0 And, your will to reach your goals is focused.\u00a0 But, not enough colleges are showing you interest.\u00a0 You’re paddling upstream and\u00a0don’t know how to change course.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Thinking back, you were told\u00a0lots of things by lots of people — mostly\u00a0adults with good intentions but\u00a0with very\u00a0little follow through.\u00a0 There’s the\u00a0family friend who knows somebody at one of your favorite colleges but he couldn’t ever seem to get in touch with them.\u00a0\u00a0Your coach reassured you time and again that he would contact a bunch of schools for you, but nothing really came of\u00a0it.\u00a0\u00a0Then there’s your uncle who said that coaches would definitely find an athlete as good as you.\u00a0 In all cases, the conversations were accompanied by a pat on the back and\u00a0a kind, “Don’t worry, everything will\u00a0work out.”\u00a0 Yet, nothing’s happening and as each day passes, as\u00a0all those well-wishers\u00a0are going about their daily lives, reaching your lifelong dream appears\u00a0to be in greater jeopardy minute by excruciating minute.<\/p>\n

You could…post your info on a free Web site.\u00a0 That should do it, right?\u00a0 Well, not so fast.\u00a0 History tells us that college coaches don’t go to these sites to recruit because they know that they\u00a0would have to sift through thousands upon thousands of other athletes, many far\u00a0less talented and deserving as you, to\u00a0find\u00a0that one athlete to fit their program.\u00a0 Don’t go there.\u00a0 Too much of a pain, they would\u00a0tell you.\u00a0<\/p>\n

You could…send out a few resumes and videos to schools on your own.\u00a0 But,\u00a0that’s only one shot at the target and you have to ask yourself how much weight will coaches give to info which arrives from kids and\u00a0parents as they ask, “Is my time\u00a0really being spent wisely on evaluating a prospect I know nothing about and who has not been screened?”\u00a0 Probably not.\u00a0<\/p>\n

You could…visit a campus and talk to a coach without notice.\u00a0 You know, just drop in and surprise\u00a0her with a copy of your resume and video.\u00a0 Hmmm….how effective would that really be?\u00a0 Pretty obvious.\u00a0<\/p>\n

You could…ask a professional high school scout for help.\u00a0\u00a0He’s not a telemarketer, though, he’s a real scout.\u00a0 He’s\u00a0seen you perform in person, evaluated you, talked to your coach and has personal knowledge of your skills, abilities, grades, character and personality.\u00a0 He has explored your needs and knows which colleges will best match\u00a0what you want to accomplish athletically and academically.\u00a0 He works for a reputable company that has a long history of helping kids just like you to get noticed, evaluated and recruited.\u00a0 Better yet, he talks to college coaches every day.\u00a0 That’s what he does, for goodness sake.\u00a0 It’s his job.\u00a0 Yeah, you\u00a0could do\u00a0that and you could find out that you have far more options than you thought\u00a0were possible.\u00a0<\/p>\n

So, the\u00a0question is: what will you do?\u00a0<\/p>\n
