NSR OTG Scout Gives Prospect a Major Bump in Interest<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every once in awhile a very special talent comes through the NSR<\/strong> recruiting pipeline that distinguishes herself in extraordinary ways by performing over and above\u00a0her peers\u00a0in the classroom or chosen sport.\u00a0 Happily, we are seeing this more and more often in the NSR<\/strong> prospect ranks. Entering our 32nd year of helping high school athletes to be noticed, evaluated and recruited by college athletic programs, we are always extremely proud of the young prospects we represent. In this case, it’s a young, 2013 soccer player from Ocala, Florida, and\u00a0the accolades seem never ending as she continues to mow through high school and club soccer competition.<\/p>\n

To be sure,\u00a0Tabby Tindell<\/strong>\u00a0is a unique talent deserving of the attention she is currently receiving from Florida’s top college soccer programs. When you read her early fall numbers, you will be impressed, too.\u00a0 But, the little-known story is the work behind the scenes which her NSR<\/strong> scout, Shaun Kitchen<\/strong>, has done on her behalf to bring her talent to the attention of the University of Florida<\/a> and Florida State University<\/a>. Recognizing her considerable skill level and seeing that she was being under appreciated and overlooked by major DI programs, Shaun went to work calling the coaching staffs of each school (among many others) to let them know about Tabby and her incredible run of success.<\/p>\n

A junior at Trinity Catholic High<\/a> in Ocala, FL, Tabby started the fall by scoring two goals in a scrimmage against NCAA<\/a> DII power Nova Southeastern College<\/a>, the defending Sunshine State Conference<\/a> champions which returns 16 players to their formidable roster. The following day in u17 Florida State League<\/a> play, and while playing for the Ocala Lightning, Tabby scored three goals and had an assist against FC United of Florida, ranked 13th in state and 498th nationally. That same evening in a match versus Plantation Soccer Club<\/a> (rated 11th in state and 369th nationally) Tabby continued to dominate the competition with two goals and another assist.<\/p>\n

Since that tournament, Tabby\u00a0has\u00a0spent a whole day with the University of Florida Head Coach Becky Burley on the Gainesville campus. While there, she was contacted by the Florida State coach requesting that she come to Tallahassee for a visit.<\/p>\n

Say what you will about scouting services, but NSR<\/strong> gets results primarily because we have on-the-ground scouts like Shaun Kitchen\u00a0who genuinely care about the prospects they enroll and will go the extra mile to see them succeed. In Tabby’s case, Shaun Kitchen was there to wave her banner to coaches who\u00a0may have otherwise\u00a0missed her impressive talent.<\/p>\n

There is a reason quality prospects in America and elsewhere around the globe choose NSR<\/strong> as their main connection with American college coaches — they know that NSR<\/strong> enrolls student-athletes which are carefully vetted for talent, desire, grades, character and family support.\u00a0 They know that NSR<\/strong> is not an open-enrollment scouting service trying to meet weekly signing quotas.\u00a0 And, they know that when an NSR<\/strong> scout calls them about a prospect that they should stop, listen and evaluate that prospect.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
