Gathering Highlights NSR’s Camaraderie and Dedication<\/strong><\/p>\n

NSR scouts met in Florida to discuss how to better help prospects succeed around the world.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Last weekend National Scouting Report held its annual meeting for licensees and scouts at the beautiful Marriott Bay Point Golf Resort and Spa in Panama City, FL.\u00a0 It’s a unique gathering for an especially important reason — these were real high school sports scouts talking about their client-prospects, college\u00a0recruiting, high school, club, travel and college coaches, and about how much they love their job of helping prospects succeed.\u00a0 They were not telemarketers or Web designers discussing their quotas or how to capture more names to call.\u00a0 No, these were the real thing.\u00a0 They were on-the-ground NSR high school scouts working for the world’s oldest and most respected scouting organization.<\/p>\n

The meetings weren’t about “call” strategies or how to move up to the next level in the chain.\u00a0 Instead the men and women in the ballroom discussed how to better educate prospects, parents and coaches at all levels; how to develop genuine, one-on-one relationships with college coaches;\u00a0 how to work with client-prospects and parents more closely; how to properly scout practices, games, tournaments, combines and showcases; how to work together to help their prospects cross and be successful in crossing traditional regional borders;\u00a0 and, how to identify quality prospects with the talent, desire, grades and character to play collegiate sports.\u00a0 This was not a thumbs-on-your-head conclave.\u00a0 It was a family reunion where people shared experiences and expressed appreciation for jobs well done.<\/p>\n
