The Occasional Glance Over Your Shoulder Should Keep You Safe<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Ever drive down the Interstate, start to pull into the left lane to pass a slower car and hear the blaring horn of another vehicle cruising behind on\u00a0your left in the “blind spot?”\u00a0 If a college athletic prospect is not careful and ever watchful, the mere\u00a0possibility of a scholarship offer can develop a blind spot in the prospect’s vision.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The excitement of being on\u00a0campus, meeting\u00a0the coaches and watching the\u00a0team\u00a0practice or play\u00a0can be overwhelming.\u00a0\u00a0The\u00a0prospect is suddenly thrust into the future and\u00a0the encircling influences can drop the prospect’s guard.\u00a0 Little, yet important, \u00a0things\u00a0get overlooked —\u00a0the school’s overriding philosophy, social underpinnings, condition of its amenities,\u00a0academic fit and quality.\u00a0\u00a0Any or all of these can easily be ignored.<\/p>\n
