Senior OL Is Much More Than\u00a0Your Typical Jock<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Adam Bennett, a senior offensive lineman from\u00a0Romeo High School in Bruce Township, Mich., has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend\u00a0Ferris State University and play for their football program.\u00a0\u00a0 Bennett led a 2010 RHS offensive line which paved the way for 1,872 rushing yards, 1,464 passing yards and an average of 34.8 points a game.\u00a0 He also contributed to Romeo’s MAC Red championship and their Round One\u00a0win in the Michigan High School football playoffs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In addition,\u00a0Adam\u00a0placed at state on the wrestling team as a junior.\u00a0\u00a0 His volunteer contributions include work in the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital Open Heart Program, Link Crew, tutor for math, science and social studies at Romeo. He is a member of the National Honor Society and has a 3.5 GPA.<\/p>\n

“Adam has led the offensive line for three years at the center position,” said Coach Curt Rienas. “He has helped lead an offense that has rushed for 6,654 yds while blocking the top defensive linemen in the county. He was a first All-County as a junior for football and All-State for wrestling. As an athlete he has a great combination of brute strength and intelligence.”<\/p>\n
