Upsets, Title Runs and Even the Tough Losses Keep Us Coming Back<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>There\u2019s something in the air and it has the not-so-subtle aroma and sound of a gymnasium, but don\u2019t we just love it?\u00a0 Wood floors, steel beam ceilings, and hard bleachers make for noisy atmospheres, raucous cheering and boy, oh, boy we\u2019re ready.\u00a0 Yep, it\u2019s time for high school sports to come indoors for a few months.\u00a0 All across the land basketball and wrestling are cranking it up and we are excited to them roll around to their season again.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There\u2019s something soothing which reaches down and gets after you when you walk into a gym anticipating a great game or match.\u00a0 Coaches stand in the corners sharing secret plans with their assistants.\u00a0 Cheerleaders run around waving at family and friends.\u00a0 Parents make way to their favorite, and lucky, seats.\u00a0 Everybody\u2019s eager for the match-up and craning their necks for a first glimpse of the squads as they emerge from their dressing rooms.\u00a0 The place drips with expectations.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

Granted, sometimes we get out of our cars and walk through the cold air toward the front doors knowing that the outcome isn\u2019t going to be all that pretty for the team we\u2019re cheering for, but then again you just never know, do you?\u00a0 Upsets happen and one could happen tonight.\u00a0 It may be one chance in a million, but why not tonight? \u00a0We give a quick look up toward the sky and think, Maybe tonight\u2026<\/p>\n

Then there\u2019s the pure exhilaration of experiencing the home team\u00a0methodically building a championship run.\u00a0 Watching the athletes come together, improving with each outing, and feeling the momentum gather as the season advances.\u00a0 Seeing them overcome injuries, fighting through the toughest part of their schedule, and bearing down when everything is on the line–as others fall away, our team has the heart, the will, the character…to win it all.\u00a0<\/p>\n
