QB\u00a0has accounted for more touchdowns than any player in the history of Mississippi’s Association of Independent Schools. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>When Chandler Rogers takes the field, records fall.\u00a0\u00a0 Already holding the state independant\u00a0high school record for touchdowns,\u00a0 Chandler only trails Brett Favre’s nephew, Dylan,\u00a0for the overall state mark.\u00a0 So far this year, the Brookhaven Academy senior quarterback and NSR prospect\u00a0has thrown 155 completions in\u00a0255 attempts for 2,865 yards passing including 29 touchdowns and only six interceptions.\u00a0 He has also rushed for\u00a0700 yards on\u00a0100 carries with 17 rushing TD’s.<\/p>\n

With\u00a0last Friday’s win over Cenla Christian Academy, Brookhaven, the District 4-AA champion, improved to 12-1 on the season and advances to the AA South State Championship game this Friday as the Cougars host River Oaks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chandler’s\u00a0career-best performance of 386 yards passing and four TD’s against Cenla moved him into second place in the overall record books for the state of Mississippi.\u00a0 He has now accounted for 134 touchdowns during his career, second to former St. Stanislaus’ Favre.\u00a0\u00a0In the game against\u00a0Cenla,\u00a0 Chandler\u00a0passed former Shannon High and Ole Miss standout quarterback Romaro Miller, who holds third place with 127 scores.<\/p>\n

An honor student at Brookhaven, the 6’3″, 200-pound Chandler carries a 3.95 GPA.\u00a0 His plan\u00a0is to\u00a0major in Psychology and continue on to medical school and pursue\u00a0a degree in psychiatry.\u00a0 His NSR scout is Paul Hux<\/a><\/strong> who is the Area Director for most of the state of Mississippi.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
