You\u2019ve waited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And waited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And still, nothing is happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here\u2019s your sign.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Working hard and being recruited are not the same thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you\u2019re spending every weekend at tournaments, camps and showcases but not seeing real recruiting results, it may be time to ask yourself:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Is what I\u2019m doing actually working?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n If the answer is no, that doesn\u2019t mean you aren\u2019t good enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It may simply mean you need a different plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You send the emails. No response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You send another. Still nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Silence doesn\u2019t automatically mean you can\u2019t play at the next level. You could be contacting the wrong programs, sending the wrong message, or simply not giving coaches enough information to evaluate you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But silence is still information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Here\u2019s your sign.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A camp invitation isn\u2019t necessarily recruiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A social media follow isn\u2019t recruiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A mass email isn\u2019t recruiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And \u201cWe\u2019d love to see you at camp\u201d isn\u2019t the same as \u201cWe\u2019re recruiting you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Learn the difference between exposure and actual recruiting activity.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Maybe after this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Maybe after I improve my film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Maybe after this showcase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Maybe after one more camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At some point, \u201cmaybe after\u201d becomes a recruiting strategy built on hope instead of a plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Here\u2019s your sign.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This may be the biggest sign of all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Before you can effectively promote yourself, you need to know where you fit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What level can you realistically play? You can\u2019t build the right recruiting plan until you know where you stand.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This sign isn\u2019t telling you to give up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s telling you to change something.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Evaluate.
