The recruiting process doesn\u2019t care about your feelings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can be the hardest worker on your high school team. You can be the local standout. You can be the \u201cbest player in your county.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
None of that guarantees anything when it comes to college sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wanting it is not enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Being told you\u2019re good is not enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Participating is not enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are investing scholarships into people they can trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There Is a Right Way to Respond to Loss<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Losing is not the problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mistakes are not the problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bad games are not the problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Your reaction to them is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When things go wrong, most athletes look for someone to blame:<\/p>\n\n\n\n But high-level athletes look inward:<\/p>\n\n\n\n That mindset is why they improve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That mindset makes them recruitable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Losses are not setbacks.
