If you have the abilities to play in college, you can work toward a profession and continue your athletic career. Also, the U.S. offers athletic scholarships and opportunities that allow athletes to earn a degree while still playing their sport. NSR wants to help athletes overseas have the option of bettering themselves academically and athletically.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe&#8217;re excited to expand into other countries and find talented athletes,\u201d said Rusty Rigney, President of NSR. \u201cIt\u2019s going to be great helping kids come to the United States and play the sport they love while getting a quality education.\u201d <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsr-inc.com\/our-mission\">The NSR mission<\/a> is to help athletes use their athletic abilities to pursue a college education. Currently, NSR has a presence in other countries such as Australia, Puerto Rico and Canada. Since NSR is spreading into more countries the company can\u00a0help more athletes live out their dreams.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;As far as my knowledge, no other company in India helps athletes get to the United States,&#8221; said India\u2019s tennis scout Rohan Apte. &#8220;U.S. colleges are really beneficial for Indian high school athletes not just for their education but to play quality tennis in excellent tennis facilities.&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apte, a gold medalist in the Indian RIM Asian University Games in 2005 and a silver medalist in the All India University tournament in 2004, hopes that NSR can help young people in his country play college in the U.S. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Choosing Between Academics and Athletics<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">India isn&#8217;t the only country that athletes have to choose between academics and athletics. Many other European countries have this same problem, and NSR is working with some of these countries to fix this.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;In Spain, you must choose between academics and athletics, but in the States, you don&#8217;t,&#8221; said Jose Mostajo, Director of Scouting in Spain. <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mostajo has helped over a dozen Spanish high school athletes get recruited to the U.S. to play their sports. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NSR hopes that athletes will no longer have to choose between playing the game they love and going to college.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"btn btn-primary\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ncaa.org\/student-athletes\/future\/international-student-athletes \"> For NCAA International Student-Athlete Info <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>National Scouting Report has continued its expansion in helping international athletes pursue\u00a0their education and athletic careers in college.\u00a0Typically, an international athlete has to choose between academics an athletics.
