Hanna Laube<\/a> has climbed to the top in Canadian youth volleyball.<\/p>\n

Recently named as a setter on the nation’s developmental program, Hanna is also making her mark in tournaments across the United States. Gold medals, top team finishes and championships are nothing strange to this 5-foot-10 junior standout from Dr. Frank J. Hayden Secondary School<\/a> in Burlington, Ontario.<\/p>\n

Laube’s\u00a0NSR scout is veteran NSR scout Jim Crotty<\/a> (Rochester, NY). He describes her court skills in his scouting report.<\/p>\n

“Hanna has a 9\u20195\u201d jump touch and an 9\u20191.5″ block touch. She\u00a0jump sets, back sets and dumps occasionally doing all well and consistently. She also has nice hands and quick sets often. She runs a nice pin-to-pin offense and a quick tempo game. Hanna is very quick using proper footwork,” explains Crotty.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And what does Laube think about her game and future?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Dedication. Perseverance. Passion. Team. Volleyball has taught me what these words mean and has helped shape who I am. I work hard, give 100% in everything I do, put my team first and I never give up,” Hanna extols. I am a strong student with a GPA of 3.7 and a passion for volleyball. As a student athlete, I have successfully learned to balance my rigorous volleyball schedule with the academic demands of school, other sports and extra-curricular activities. I am confident I will be able to maintain the balance between volleyball and a strenuous academic program at university.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

She goes on to say, “I had the honor of being selected to Team Ontario and named Team Captain. I was then chosen for the Youth National Team. I am a two-time MVP of my high school team and was Team Captain this past year. I am very proud of these accomplishments and grateful to have had such amazing opportunities.”<\/p>\n
