{"id":1147,"date":"2010-09-02T03:57:24","date_gmt":"2010-09-02T09:57:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.nsr-inc.com\/\/?p=1147"},"modified":"2010-09-02T03:57:24","modified_gmt":"2010-09-02T09:57:24","slug":"saturday-match-up-to-feature-four-nsr-prospects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nsr-inc.com\/scouting-news\/saturday-match-up-to-feature-four-nsr-prospects\/","title":{"rendered":"Saturday Match-up to Feature Five NSR Prospects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>Cal versus UC-Davis Holds Special Meaning to NSR in California<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.nsr-inc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Cal.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1149\" title=\"Cal\" src=\"\/\/blog.nsr-inc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Cal.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"160\" height=\"137\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Saturday\u2019s grudge match between <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calbears.com\/\">The University of California<\/a><\/strong> (Cal) and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ucdavisaggies.com\/\">The University of California at Davis<\/a><\/strong> (UC-Davis) holds special meaning for all of us at <strong>National Scouting Report<\/strong>,\u00a0but espcially for <strong>NSR<\/strong>\u00a0in California.\u00a0 Five former <strong>NSR<\/strong> prospects, three from UC-Davis and\u00a0two from Cal, will be on their respective team rosters as the Aggies travel to Berkeley to take on the Bears at Memorial Stadium.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.nsr-inc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Spencer-Hagan.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1153\" title=\"Spencer Hagan\" src=\"\/\/blog.nsr-inc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Spencer-Hagan.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"105\" height=\"131\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calbears.com\/sports\/m-footbl\/mtt\/hagan_spencer00.html\">Spencer Hagan<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is a redshirt sophomore at Cal.\u00a0 The 6&#8217;4&#8243; wideout was ranked as the No. 2 receiver in Northern California by <strong><a href=\"www.espn.com\">ESPN<\/a><\/strong> in 2008.\u00a0\u00a0He finished his high school career at <a href=\"www.ccscougars.org\/\"><strong>Capital Christian High<\/strong> <\/a>in Sacramento with 145 receptions and 2,629 receiving yards, both all-time school records.\u00a0 Spencer earned first-team <strong>All-State<\/strong> honors as a prep senior by both Rivals and MaxPreps, while also being named second-team <strong>All-City<\/strong> by the <strong><a href=\"www.sacbee.com\/\">Sacramento Bee<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.nsr-inc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Alehandro-Crosthwaite.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1187\" title=\"Alejandro Crosthwaite\" src=\"\/\/blog.nsr-inc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Alehandro-Crosthwaite.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"105\" height=\"131\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calbears.com\/sports\/m-footbl\/mtt\/crosthwaite_alejandro00.html\">Alejandro Crosthwaite<\/a><\/strong> is a freshman offensive lineman for the Bears.\u00a0 He hails from <strong><a href=\"www.cathedralcatholic.org\/\">Cathedral Catholic High<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in San Diego.\u00a0 Named by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.philsteele.com\/\">Phil Steele<\/a><\/strong> as the nation&#8217;s No. 30 offensive lineman prior to this season.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0In high school, Alejandro was\u00a0a four-star recruit by ESPN, Scout, Tom Lemming and Rivals, selected as the No. 6 offensive tackle and No. 85 overall player in the nation according to <strong><a href=\"www.maxemfingerrecruiting.com\/\">Max Emfinger<\/a><\/strong>, invited to play in the <strong>Max Emfinger All-American Bow<\/strong>l, the Offensive-Defensive All-American Bowl and the Aloha Prep All-American Bowl.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.nsr-inc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Nick-Aprile.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1154\" title=\"Nick Aprile\" src=\"\/\/blog.nsr-inc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Nick-Aprile.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"105\" height=\"157\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ucdavisaggies.com\/sports\/m-footbl\/mtt\/aprile_nick00.html\">Nick Aprile<\/a><\/strong> is a redshirt sophomore at UC-Davis.\u00a0 He is a 6&#8217;1&#8243; 210-pound free safety from <strong><a href=\"www.escalonhigh.org\/\">Escalon High<\/a><\/strong> in Fresno.\u00a0 In 2009, Nick appeared in all 11 games as a reserve defensive back for the Aggies.\u00a0 He was also the ball handler in the team&#8217;s variation of the Wildcat formation.\u00a0 He rushed for 123 yards and four TDs on 29 carries.\u00a0 On defense, Nick posted 7 tackles (5 solos, 2 assists) on defense.\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.nsr-inc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/UC-Davis.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1150\" title=\"UC Davis\" src=\"\/\/blog.nsr-inc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/UC-Davis.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"154\" height=\"158\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.nsr-inc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Ian-Joseph.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1155\" title=\"Ian Joseph\" src=\"\/\/blog.nsr-inc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Ian-Joseph.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"105\" height=\"157\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ucdavisaggies.com\/sports\/m-footbl\/mtt\/joseph_ian00.html\">Ian Joseph<\/a><\/strong> is\u00a0an offensive\u00a0lineman for UC-Davis.\u00a0 At 6&#8217;6&#8243; and 300 pounds, Ian is likely to see action as a true freshman for\u00a0the Aggies.\u00a0 At <strong><a href=\"www.edhs.org\/\">El\u00a0Dorado High<\/a><\/strong> in Placerville, CA, Ian was a three-sport standout, playing football, basketball and track.\u00a0 He\u00a0earned <strong>All-Pioneer Valley League<\/strong> first-team and Sacramento Bee <strong>All-Metro<\/strong> second-team honors as a senior lineman.\u00a0 He was named\u00a0his team&#8217;s Most Outstanding Lineman and Bleeding Blue awards.\u00a0 He was also an All-league thrower in the spring, posting personal bests of 50-3 in shot, 141-3 in discus.\u00a0 On the basketball court, he was voted Most Inspirational.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.nsr-inc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Ryan-Dimino.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1156\" title=\"Ryan Dimino\" src=\"\/\/blog.nsr-inc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Ryan-Dimino.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"105\" height=\"157\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ucdavisaggies.com\/sports\/m-footbl\/mtt\/dimino_ryan00.html\">Ryan Dimino<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is one of UC-Davis&#8217;
